Specialist Children's Physiotherapist
Welcome to Debbie Campbell Paediatric Physiotherapy. I am a specialist children’s Physiotherapist with over 30 years’ experience of working with children and young people. I provide fun and high-quality paediatric physiotherapy which is tailored to your child’s needs. I have spent my entire career working with children in a variety of settings including The Evelina Children’s Hospital, Guys & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Here I was a senior Physiotherapist in neonatal and paediatric neurological care. I also lectured in child development at The University of Brighton.
I am also a qualified teacher and have experience of working in both mainstream and specialist settings. I have extensive experience, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEND in education settings, and a substantial knowledge base about EHCPs and meeting the needs of all children in education.

I am an evidence-based, trauma-informed neuro-developmental physiotherapist. I specialise in providing assessment and treatment of children from birth to young adulthood using a family focused model where the goals and aspirations of the family and child are at the centre of any treatment plan. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
As a parent of two children with SEND I know that every child is completely unique – and we all want our children to reach their potential. So, when I initially assess a patient, I’m learning about all aspects of that child from their personality to their preferences, comfort levels and what motivates them. From this foundation I can identify the cause of any issues and work with the parents/carers to come up with a plan of action.
During our physio sessions your child and family come first. I recognise that you are the expert on your child, and we will focus on your child’s strengths and abilities to maximise independence and engagement in everyday activities. My purpose is simple: treat your child, educate and empower you as carers, and reach family centred outcomes.
